WeAreTheFlag.Org’s mission is to promote the display and use of the American flag by those who support moderate, liberal and progressive causes. The flag belongs to all Americans. By pairing the flag with our causes, we harness America’s most powerful, primal, and aspirational symbol.
Now is the time.
Some say we need to “Take The Flag Back,” but it’s truly been ours all along. So, let’s build something big. Now is the time to show that together we are democracy. Together, we are strong. Together, WE ARE THE FLAG.

The flag stands for a diverse range of vital causes including: anti-corruption, choice, civil rights, climate action, the Constitution, criminal justice reform, democracy, education, environmental protection, fair trade, free press, free speech, gender equality, good government, common-sense gun laws, freedom, healthcare reform, immigration reform, labor rights, LGBTQ+ rights, non-violent protest, racial equality, religious freedom, rule of law, science, social mobility, social safety net, veterans rights, voting rights, good faith world leadership, and many more.

For maximum impact, always pair the American flag with your cause: (a) At events display the flag alongside your protest banner or rally flag. (b) At your home or business, fly the American flag above your cause flag.

Spread the word online. Share photos of paired banners and flags. Use #WeAreTheFlag.

Help grow this movement by giving flags to others: (a) Hand out 25+ American mini-flags and/or WeAreTheFlag.org handouts at your next rally or protest. Learn how to take action. (b) Or donate flags to others for distribution.
